Tyre and rim related accidents are caused, in many instances, by the handling and servicing of multipiece and single piece wheels and rims such as those used on large surface and underground mining equipment.

The most frequent causes include unsafe mounting or demounting of wheels, exploding tyres, faulty rim components or improperly trained personnel. All mining personnel need to be adequately trained in safe tyre and rim handling and servicing procedures.

Rimtec offers wheel and rim related  training sessions either on your site or at our premises in Belmont, Western Australia. Conducted by qualified instructors, these training sessions cover two main areas including Earthmover Wheel Maintenance Practices and Earthmover Wheel Component Compatibility. Training sessions are available for large or small groups of employees and sessions held at Belmont include a tour through our engineering workshop.
